One of the first things you should do is contact our dealership and let us know that you have a leased vehicle to return. This is especially important if you did not get your lease from our location, as we’ll want to confirm all the details ahead of time.
In the lead-up to this appointment, remember to find all relevant vehicles items, like the owner’s manual, spare keys, cargo accessories, and similar components. Upon your arrival, let us know that you’re here with your lease return. Then, you’ll be invited to sit down with our experts to verify the mileage, discuss any fees, and sign the odometer statement.
One of the most important parts of a lease return is the lease-end inspection, as it helps show that your vehicle is in great shape. About 60 days before your lease is over, schedule this inspection through the leasing company. For Ford vehicles specifically, you’ll use Alliance Inspection Management (AiM).
You should easily be able to schedule this lease-end inspection online. It’s also possible that the inspection company may reach out to you first, at which time you can pick a day that works for your schedule. The inspection is complimentary and can be done at a place of your choosing.
